This scholarship was established to honor the life of Kalix James Broussard, 18, who died Monday, January 27, 2020 as the result of an automobile accident. A scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating senior of Vermilion Catholic High School in Abbeville, LA. The recipient of this scholarship will have shown characteristics based off the person Kalix was and the person he was genuinely born to be. He was the type of person everyone strives to be like in their life. We hope that the recipient of this scholarship holds it near to their heart and honors Kalix’s name like their own.
