(Lafayette, LA) – Lafayette Parish Medical Society Alliance (LPMSA) Medical Scholarship Fund, a fund of Community Foundation of Acadiana, is accepting scholarship applications. The deadline to submit an application is on Friday, May 31.
Eligible applicants must be residents of Lafayette Parish for at least seven years who are currently enrolled in, or entering, a full-time accredited medical school. All applicants must provide two letters of reference, proof of enrollment, and a one-page essay. Students can visit www.cfacadiana.org/LPMSA to complete the online application.
This scholarship is made possible by contributions from Lafayette Parish Medical Society Alliance members and aims to sustain the future of medicine in Lafayette Parish by providing scholarships to medical students.
LPMSA is a nonprofit service organization of physicians and their spouses who are dedicated to advancing the health of Acadiana. The group is committed to promoting health education; supporting health-related charitable endeavors; encouraging participation of volunteers in activities that address health care needs; and extending health-related programs of the Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
