Robert Allain III is a farmer in Franklin. He’s a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Agricultural Businesses. He’s been a partner of the family farming operation since 2012. In 2015, Robert graduated from the Leadership of St. Mary program through the St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, he was elected to the Republican State Central Committee, serving Senate District 21-A. In 2018, Robert graduated from LSU's Agriculture Leadership program through the LSU Ag Center. He is a founding member and first president of Bridge St. Mary, and the president of the Atchafalaya Chapter in Morgan City. Annually, Robert and his family provide Christmas gifts and clothing to families in need. Robert is a member of Church of Assumption in Franklin where he supports many fundraisers for the church and Hanson Catholic High School. He can be seen working with community members to raise funds and collect items for different charities throughout St. Mary Parish.
Javon Charles comes to us from Bayou Vista. He’s had successful careers in the restaurant management business and law enforcement. At the age of 19, Javon became a restaurant manager and was promoted quickly to General Manager and Unit Manager. He’s a certified food safety instructor and operates under J Charles Enterprise. Since 2014, Javon has served as a member of law enforcement with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Patterson Police Department. In 2018, he was appointed by the St. Mary Parish Council to the Board of Commissioners for Drainage. Currently, he is campaigning for the October 12th election where he’s running for the seat of State Representative for District 50. Javon serves as a community leader through an active membership of the local NAACP Chapter. In his spare time, Javon visits nursing homes to encourage the residents and lift their spirits.
Kellye Patterson is a Berwick resident who has been a working mom for the past two decades. She’s the owner and operator of a promotional products business in the Tri-City area. Kellye has supported numerous organizations as a leader of Girl Scouts; a member of the Morgan City IMAGE commission; AYSO soccer coach; and a team leader for Morgan City Relay for Life. She sits on the Board of Directors for the Krewe of Nike in charge of set and scenery. For the past ten years, Kellye has served on the Board of Directors for Morgan City Children’s Theater where she is in her seventh year as President and Corporate Chairperson. She is currently serving her sixth year as the director of the Drama Club at Central Catholic High School. Kellye has a passion for helping youth embrace a love for the arts. She is a member of the bereavement group at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a CCD teacher at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Kellye is always actively involved in helping organize fundraising activities for Central Catholic Elementary and High Schools.
Robert “Bobby” Dufrene is a banking officer at First National Bank of Jeanerette. As the current President of the Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival, Bobby dedicates his time and effort to organizing and overseeing the festival that celebrates hometown industries. He is a member of Morgan City Main Street where his passion for downtown preservation and revitalization allows him to plan and organize local events and city improvement projects. Bobby is a founding member of the Basin Brew Fest which supports the renovation of Lawrence Park, also known as “Block 27”. Through his participation in the Kiwanis Club of East St. Mary, he assisted in the planning of the Lawrence Park Porch Fest alongside Ryan Yager and Charlie Solar. Every year, Bobby enjoys the holidays by decorating the gazebo in Lawrence Park for Christmas. Additionally, Bobby supports other local organizations throughout St. Mary Parish. In 2018, Bobby became a founding member of the Atchafalaya Colonel Caravan. This organization raises funds and promotes Nicholls State University through alumni events.
Dr. Monica Mancuso is a native of Hobbs, New Mexico and raised in Morgan City. Monica is a retired educator, community advocate, and small business owner. During her tenure with the St. Mary Parish School Board, Monica was instrumental in helping schools advance to an above average grade status. Annually, she provides school supplies and materials to teachers throughout St. Mary Parish. Since 2015, she served as a board member and president of St. Mary Excel, a community advocacy group for economic development and educational advancement. In 2018, Monica and the St. Mary Excel committee raised more than $130,000 in donations from public and private supporters. Last September, Monica led a group of panelists from the Urban Land Institute who performed an economic development study of Morgan City and the Town of Berwick. Currently, Monica is working with the St. Mary Excel committee to draft business proposals to benefit St. Mary Parish residents through new economic development opportunities.
Travis Richard is a Berwick resident and the Senior Vice President of M C Bank where he serves as the bank’s Security Officer, CRA Officer, and the Chief Operating Officer. After graduating from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU, Travis was selected by his colleagues for the Banking on Leaders of Tomorrow program with the Federal Reserve Bank. His extensive experience in banking has led him to assist many programs in Banking and Financial Literacy. Travis a member of the Kiwanis Club of East St. Mary where he was awarded the Distinguished President Award. Also, he manages the Terrific Kids and BUGS award programs for the Kiwanis Club. He attends Holy Cross Catholic Church where he has been a member of the pastoral council for the past three years.

Danika Foley is the news director of KWBJ TV 22 where she hosts "The Voice of the Coast with Danika” which serves nearly 45,000 homes and businesses in the Tri-parish area. She is an avid supporter of community-based activities, youth mentoring and advocate for the arts. She is also the founder of ibedamned-blog, a women's empowerment blog, where she co-hosts the Facebook Live show, Carpool Conversations. Danika is also a graduate of Leadership St. Mary.
Jonathan Scully opened Pelican Contractors of La, LLC on April 4, 2016. Within a few months of operation, the Baton Rouge area flooded, and Pelican Contractors helped with rescue efforts, donations, and food for flood victims. Pelican Contractors then participated in the Sheltered Home Program to help demo and rebuild homes in the Baton Rouge area. Pelican Contractors also provided FEMA trained technicians for TPS units used for safety purposes in temporary housing for displaced citizens. Jonathan was then asked and honored to speak before the legislature in Washington, DC on the disaster relief and recovery efforts needed within the State of Louisiana after a catastrophic natural disaster. Pelican volunteered with sandbagging in Stephenville, LA and contacted the City of Berwick when flooding was a risk. At the present time Pelican Contractors has FEMA Certified RV inspectors and providing disaster assistant in the Virgin Islands. We currently employ approximately 50 people, who live locally.

Lauren V. Hebert, CPA/PFS, is a Shareholder of Darnall, Sikes & Frederick (A Corporation of Certified Public Accountants) and Financial Advisor with DSF Wealth Management, L.L.C. Currently, she serves as Vice-chairman of the Morgan City Main Street Board, Treasurer of St. Mary One, and a member of the Nicholls State University Accounting Advisory Board. As Chair of the Main Street Board’s Design Committee, she spearheads Block 27 - the Lawrence Park Improvement Project. Within her office, she coordinates personnel as volunteers for the Morgan City Youth Center. She is also active as a member of Pharr Chapel UMC and with St. Mary Excel.
Roye Bell Pontiff is a teacher and coach at Hanson Memorial High School, her alma mater. She is a long time resident of Franklin and has served as a teacher, coach, catechist, campus minister and director of the Touch service program at Hanson Memorial. Roye has been an integral part of the sports programs at Hanson since 1980, coaching basketball, cross country, softball, track and even a little football. She has spent countless summers as swim instructor and coach for the youth in our area. Roye continues to bring a faith-filled enthusiasm to the youth and adults of our schools and community.
Nancy Boudreaux is a former local business owner for more than 20 years. Boudreaux created a Teen Board, an organization who helped focused on improving the self-esteem and health of teenage girls. Annually, Boudreaux hosted a fashion to benefit the Girl Scouts of America, Special Education and many more organizations. Every Thanksgiving holiday, the Teen Board would sponsor "Fill the Truck” food drive to benefit St. Mary Outreach. She is most known for creating "Ladies' Night Out", a fundraiser for breast cancer patients in which proceeds are donated to local women to help with expenses associated with breast cancer.
Mark Chauvin is the owner and manager of Bayou Sale Cane Co., Inc., a sugarcane farming operation located in Centerville, Louisiana which he began in 1990. He has been the president of the St. Mary Parish Farm Bureau for 20 years and is currently serving on the board of directors for the Louisiana Farm Bureau. Mark is a member of the American Sugarcane League and enjoys participating in the Washington, DC fly-ins to meet and discuss matters with legislators that directly affect the sugarcane industry on a state and national level. He is a member of the Church of the Assumption and the Knights of Columbus. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
