The Stuller Family Foundation recently donated $150,000 to two life-changing funds at Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA) to benefit first responders and flood relief efforts.
Stuller established the Keep Acadiana Safe Fund at CFA and granted $100,000 to assist Acadiana's first responders by giving them the tools they need to protect, serve and save residents during emergencies. These funds will enable local police departments to purchase equipment and safety gear for the officers along with other tools.
"It's about giving them the equipment that they need in order to be able to do their jobs and to keep our citizens safe within the communities that we live in," said Matt Stuller, chairman and CEO of Stuller, Inc.
In light of the tragic flooding that occurred in August, The Stuller Family Foundation gave an additional $50,000 to CFA’s Acadiana Disaster Response Fund to benefit flood victims.
"Many residents were victims during the flood event, and our donation will go toward helping these individuals and families continue with rebuilding and recovery," added Stuller. "This second phase of recovery will be long-term, and The Stuller Family Foundation is simply doing its part to give the materials and equipment required to help our friends and neighbors return to their homes."
