Lafayette Family Donates $25,000 to Healing House

Lafayette, LA - David Ray Caillouet Memorial Fund, a fund of Community Foundation of Acadiana, made a $25,000 contribution to Healing House in Lafayette. The contribution is a sponsorship of the "Hurricane Room” to benefit the capital campaign designated to build Randon’s Place at Healing House.

"The contribution was made in memory of my dad, David Ray Caillouet,” said Annie N. Caillouet. "My family and I chose to celebrate my father’s birthday this November by making the contribution on his 74th birthday.”

"The Caillouet family has blessed Healing House with their time and talents for several years by volunteering in our children’s grief support groups and with our yearly fundraising events,” said Jenée Broussard, executive director. "Their generous gift will not only honor Mr. David’s life, but also enable Healing House to work towards our vision that no child in Acadiana will ever grieve alone.”
