Announcing the Iberia Parish Foundationís Competitive Grant Cycle

(Lafayette, LA) Ė The Iberia Parish Foundation (IPF), an affiliate of Community Foundation of Acadiana, is now accepting applications for its competitive grant cycle until Friday, November 18, 2016.

The cycle is open to any 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, church or school, providing programs which broadly impact Iberia Parish in areas such as education, the arts, social services, community development, youth development and more.

The maximum grant amount per organization is $2,500. IPF will fund selected applications, contingent upon funding availability.

Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • The organizationís ability to leverage grant dollars with in-kind/volunteer resources or matching funds.
  • The organizationís capacity to include volunteers and/or community members in a meaningful project that positively impacts Iberia Parish.
  • The projectís broad appeal to the residents of Iberia Parish.
  • The projectís ability to bring awareness to the organizationís cause.
The funds for this grant cycle were raised by the Iberia Parish Foundationís Board of Directors through several fundraisers, including the Hats & Horses Derby held last May.

Iberia Parish Foundation Board Chair Beverly Shea said, "We work hard all year to raise funds to hold an annual grant cycle toward the end of the year. We enjoying receiving applications and learning about the different projects happening in our area and being able to grant some dollars to help our community.Ē

Please visit for more information or to complete an application.  Applications are due by close of business on Friday, November 18, 2016.  For more information, please contact Community Foundation of Acadianaís (CFA) Communications & Development Director Erin Winder at or 337.769.4842.
