Acadiana Honors its Philanthropists
Yesterday the Community Foundation of Acadiana held their Leaders In Philanthropy Awards Luncheon.
The luncheon was held at the Cajundome Convention Center.
Community Foundation of Acadiana gave out awards to area philanthropists who have made a big impact in Acadiana.
The keynote speaker was Bert Jacobs who co-founded, Life Is Good.
"To us what 'life is good,' means is it's about disposition. It's not about what you have or even who you are. It's about how you view the world. And you can see obstacles or opportunity. And the people who are our customers and embrace those simple words, they see opportunity and that's powerful." explained Jacobs.
The Community Foundation Award for Leader of Lafayette Parish went to Jim Prince. |
