The New Iberia City Park Playground Enhancement Fund has received their final donation of $55,000 from Bristow Group, the leading provider of helicopter services to the worldwide offshore energy industry. This donation helped the New Iberia City Park Playground Enhancement Project to reach their ultimate goal of $210,000. The project is run by a citizen/volunteer-driven Board of locals that focuses on revitalizing parks and improving the quality of life in the New Iberia community. The playground will be an add-on to the New Iberia City Park and the equipment is set to be in the ground and ready to play on by early November 2013.
