The Second-Annual Leaders in Philanthropy Awards Luncheon: Celebrating Philanthropy Throughout Acadiana, featuring Raising Cane’s Founder and CEO, Todd Graves

Community Foundation of Acadiana’s Second-Annual Leaders in Philanthropy Awards Luncheon will be held on November 1, 2012 at the Cajundome Convention Center from 11:30am-1:00pm. CFA will present Leaders in Philanthropy Awards to one individual, family or group from each of its primary eight-parish service area who, through their philanthropic efforts, have had a positive impact on their community.

Todd Graves, the founder, chairman and CEO of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers® will give this year’s keynote address. Renowned in the business world for his entrepreneurial spirit, Graves reconstructed an old building with his own hands into the first Raising Cane’s restaurant. Since then, Raising Cane’s has grown from a single location to more than 130 restaurants in 17 states, and ranks as of one of the fastest growing privately-owned companies in the U.S. Graves carries his tremendous success in business over to a wide array of philanthropic endeavors, giving approximately 25% of Raising Cane’s profits back to the communities where Raising Cane’s restaurants operate. Local giving is focused on community organizations that provide assistance to schools, food banks, active lifestyles, pet welfare and business and entrepreneurial organizations.
